At the height of the pandemic, Stop Soldier Suicide partnered with GoodUnited to become a pioneer in the virtual challenge space. I was the strategic lead for these challenges on the SSS team, collaborating daily with the GU team to optimize and execute active challenges, plan future event strategy, and forecast key performance goals.
With these challenges, we hit a revenue J-curve at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, a time when many organizations were facing revenue hardships. This initiative resulted in a 50% year-over-year increase in social revenue in its first year, and remains Stop Soldier Suicide's largest revenue stream.
These challenges were such an innovative use of Facebook groups that Meta funded a case study about our work and promoted it as part of their social impact efforts.
In 2022, we were able to showcase the value of this work to such an extent that USAA signed on as presenting sponsor.
